LUNG PROTECTION
Protect your respiratory system against harmful particulates that cause short or long-term illnesses.
KEEP PERFORMING
A very breathable system with minimal inhalation resistance allowing its use during strenuous activities.
LOW-PROFILE
TR2 is a comfortable low-profile respiratory solution that doesn't compromise shooting performance.
UNIVERSAL FIT
Designed to fit a wide range of facial profiles (incl. facial hair) & compatible with other headborne equipment.
DESCRIPTION
The Ventus Respiratory© TR2 (Tactical Respirator 2) was developed in collaboration with Tier 1 operators. It provides a better means of lung protection while training/operating in compromised environments.
Today’s special operations forces understand the importance of protecting their respiratory system, but cannot afford to compromise their ability to perform effectively. This is the foundation upon which the TR2 was designed. By offering a low-profile solution that’s easy to don and integrates seamlessly with a variety of kit configurations, the TR2 is the most adaptable respirator for tactical units in Military and Law Enforcement
as well as for First Responders available.

IMPROVEMENTS COMPARED TO TR2 NON-CE VERSION
- Improved filtration efficiency to > 99%
- The CE-Certified P2-02 filter offers improved filtration efficiency compared to the previous TR2 filter.
- Tests ≥ 99% filtration efficiency for the sodium chloride filtration challenge
- 15% increased breathability
- The P2-02 filter offers an approximately 15% improved (lower) inhalation resistance compared to the original TR2 filter. The original TR2 filter has an average inhalation resistance of 1.65 hPa (16.8 mmH2O) @ 85 LPM, while the P2-02 has an average inhalation resistance of 1.4 hPa (14.3 mmH2O) @ 95 LPM.

- Approved for use against oil-based contaminants
- The CE-Certified P2-02 filter is effective and approved for use against both solid (non-oil) particulates as well as oil-based particulates in accordance with the requirements of the EN143:2021 standard. The previous TR2 filter was developed to address solid (non-oil) particulates.

WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY P2-02 FILTER?
Useful life of any filter depends heavily on environmental and usage conditions. For example, filters used in less contaminated environments may offer longer service life than those used in heavily contaminated environments.
Excessive breathing resistance when inhaling indicates that the cartridge has served its useful life. Leave the contaminated area and replace the filter cartridge immediately. Cartridges should also be replaced when physically damaged or visibly soiled.
CAN THE P2-02 FILTER BE REUSED?
Yes, the P2-02 filter is approved for multiple shift use. In order to be certified for use in more than a single shift, filters are required to be tested against both salt (NaCl) and paraffin oil, stored for 24 hours, and then retested with the same challenge. The filter has passed all these tests.
DOES THE CE FILTER (P2-02) WORK
WITH THE NON-CE TR2?
The CE-Certified P2-02 filter cartridge is compatible with both the CE-Certified TR2 as well as the uncertified TR2. However, it is important to note that using the P2-02 filter with the Non-CE TR2 does not convert the respirator into a certified system; the facepiece of the respirator is required to hold its own certification to the EN140:1998 standard. Only the CE-Certified TR2 meets the requirements of this standard.
