DESCRIPTION
The Safariland® 7300RDS 7TS™ holster is specifically designed to fit and protect weapons with red dot optics. The 7300RDS 7TS features ALS® (Automatic Locking System) retention, which is completely operable with the thumb, making training easy, and the straight-up draw makes them very instinctive to use, yet difficult for an assailant’s attempted takeaway.
Incredibly durable, yet remarkably lightweight, the 7300RDS holster is constructed from SafariSeven™ material and built to withstand the elements, including extremes of heat and cold. In addition, the holster retains its structural integrity even when submerged in water indefinitely.
On the inside of the holster, the SafariSeven™ material is non-abrasive to protect your firearm’s finish. Additional protection is provided by raised surfaces which create airspace around the firearm, allowing dirt and moisture to quickly clear contact.
PRODUCT FEATURES
AUTOMATIC LOCKING SYSTEM (ALS®)
Safariland®'s signature and battle-proven locking system. It provides a level I active retention system rather than the passive retention grip provided by conventional Kydex holsters. The ALS® automatically locks the weapon in all directions upon holstering and is released with the thumb. Drawing and holstering is smooth and fast.
This is the most popular retention level for military and competitive shooters, as it firmly locks the firearm into place, keeping it from dislodging during running or moving through obstacles.
SELF LOCKING SYSTEM (SLS®)
Provided as an extension of the ALS®, the holster is featured with a so-called "rotating hood" that covers the back of the handgun. By combining the ALS® and SLS® security mechanisms, a total of three manual hand movements are required to release the firearm from the holster. This provides the holster with a level III retention system that is still easy to disengage and allows for a fast draw.
This retention level is the most common model for patrol and general duty use, as it makes access harder for an adversary in hand-to-hand situations.
CONSTRUCTION
The holster is made from a proprietary DuPont™ nylon blend that is completely non-abrasive to a firearm’s finish and impervious to the elements. Can withstand very high heat and cold tolerances and structurally sound at 148°C and -45°C. Can be submerged in water for long periods with no loss of structural integrity.
The raised stand-off surfaces in the holster’s interior creates air space around the handgun, allowing dirt and moisture to quickly clear any contact with the firearm.
Its matte finish is designed to decrease reflection and can be maintained with a simple scouring pad.
FOR FLASHLIGHTS
The 7300RDS series of holsters are engineered for the use with a specific mounted flashlight. The holster will NOT work without one.
FOR RED-DOT SIGHTS (OPTIONAL)
The 7300RDS holsters are provided with a cut for specific red-dot sights or models with the same general profile. The holster can work without a mounted sighting system too.
MID-RIDE HEIGHT
The included Safariland® Universal Belt Loop (UBL) puts the holster at a mid-ride height. This height is considered to be the best for most general and shooting applications as it puts the holster at the optimal height for an efficient draw.
OPTIONAL QUICK LOCKING SYSTEM
Constructed of injection molded nylon, the receiver plate can be attached at different angles according to user preference. The QLS (Quick Locking System) allows for quick transfer of gear between attachment points such as a belt loop, tactical leg shroud or other stable platform. The QLS fork and plate combination passes the Level I Retention™ pull test. Allows users to rearrange gear quickly and easily without the use of tools.
OPTIONAL TOURNIQUET SYSTEM
The Safariland® Tourniquet Pouch is the ultimate OEM solution designed to fit all Safariland® duty holsters. The versatile tactical hole pattern also accommodates any Safariland® tactical accessory. The bracket is manufactured from high-grade 5052-H32 aluminum, ensuring robust performance and longevity. The tourniquet pouch, engineered with a unique two-half design and rubber O-rings, securely retains major tourniquet brands and integrates seamlessly with the Safariland® bracket and other tactical setups.
