DESCRIPTION
The ReconBrothers® Direct Action® FIGHTER V2 Plate Carrier Setup is compiled from our personal experience & expertise of Direct Action® their product range. This is the plate carrier setup that we agree on to be the best and most all-purpose tactical/range setup from Direct Action® made out of both their SPITFIRE® & Skeletonized line.
The bundle covers almost all that is required according to our personal training experiences. Covering the base carrier that fits most popular plates with cummerbunds that can take side plates, comfort pads and a bungee retained triple 223 mag flap to carry AR-15/M4 style magazines. Above that, a comms wing is included that fits nearly any radio system and is put on the front next to your plate. Also a general utility pouch is provided on the front non-dominant side of the cummerbund to carry all sorts of items. A tourniquet pouch is mounted on the bottom of the front plate for easy and unhindered use and our ReconBrothers® patch is included for FREE as well.
As for the back panel we provided the Assault Panel which allows the carrying of magazines/grenades and scratch sensitive objects along with a hydration bladder like the CamelBak® Mil Spec Crux™ 1.5 L.
Only thing left for you to complete it is fill it with your plates and equipment.

The MKII version may look simpler, but is in fact much more scalable and mission configurable. Direct Action® decided to strip down the carrier of unnecessary MOLLE/PALS slots under the flap and on the back, as well as enlarge the loop panel on the front for large LE patches. LINK TO PRODUCT
Direct Action® Skeletonized Cummerbund Wide®
An extremely light cummerbund made of four-way stretch Nylon and laminate. It has a pocket for flat objects or for hard and soft ballistic panels. Stiffeners are included to provide rigidity when the cummerbund is not used with ballistic inserts. It is closed with 80 mm ROC® buckles, that are silent, reliable and easy to use. Direct Action® Skeletonized Triple 223 Flap
An advanced flap for Direct Action®’s plate carriers, especially the BEARCAT® and SPITFIRE® series. The flap is designed to fit up to three M4/AR15 style magazines. The magazines are secured from the top via bungie cord. Due to the skeletal construction, the flap is not only minimalistic, but also one of the lightest modular flaps on the market. LINK TO PRODUCT
Direct Action® SPITFIRE® Assault Panel
Designed to function in the CQB role. The top portion has three Velcro®-closed pouches to contain various types of flash-bangs or spare magazines. A large, zipper-closed universal cargo pouch is mounted beneath them which is lined with soft, velour material. This so it can be used for carrying scratch sensitive objects, like eye protection or night-vision goggles. Behind these pockets there is a flat Velcro® secured compartment for storing a hydration bladder or breaching tools. LINK TO PRODUCT
Direct Action® SPITFIRE® Comms Wing
Developed to work with the SPITFIRE® plate carrier its side ports. It enables the attachment of a radio right next to the plate, with the cummerbund wrapping over it, to save mounting space on the plate carrier. The wing is height-adjustable, features expanding sides to accommodate various radio models and has an elasticized loop closure to prevent losing the contents. LINK TO PRODUCT
Direct Action® Utility Pouch Small®
Multipurpose, zippered utility pouches available in multiple sizes. The smaller ones will hold multitools, navigational aids, weapon cleaning kits or similar small items, while the bigger ones can hold NODs, lightweight jackets, or small water bladders. LINK TO PRODUCT
Direct Action® Tourniquet Pouch®
Marked “TQ” for easy identification, the Direct Action® Tourniquet Pouch® is made to carry most of the currently used tourniquet models such as SOFT-T or CAT. The key idea is to protect the life-saving device its Velcro® strips from dirt that can reduce its usability in a critical situation – whilst providing quick access and a more sturdy carry method than rubber bands. SIZING
Please measure your chest circumference with a tape measure and use the below numbers to pick your optimal size.
- Size M: Chest up to 120 cm, Width x Height = 26,7 x 34,3 cm
- Size L: Chest up to 130 cm, Width x Height = 26,7 x 38,1 cm
The plate carrier will fit most popular plates on the market, including SAPI cuts.

Below sizes represent the measurements (full length & height) of one side of the cummerbund set.

Cummerbunds can fit 6x6" or 6x8" soft/hard ballistic inserts.
