Based around a new system called TMAS (Tactical Modular Audio System), this generation features clear, reliable wireless communication that removes the cable(s) between the headset and Push-To-Talk (PTT), helping to increase overall mobility. The system offers flexibility and scalability to address the needs of the modern soldier, with the ability to manage legacy and future radio systems.
The PELTOR™ ComTac™ VII provides new looks, improved systems integration, and enhanced auditory situational awareness to help give operators a tactical edge during operations.
PRODUCT FEATURES
TACTICAL MODULAR AUDIO SYSTEM (TMAS)
An entire new approach to tactical communications. TMAS offers incredible flexibility & scalability to the user's needs. It provides the ability to manage up to two radios, vehicle intercom, mobile connection and multiple channels all at once. This with both legacy and future radio systems.
NATURAL INTERACTION BEHAVIOR (NIB)
Enables short-range (10 m), full duplex, headset-to-headset intra-team communication without the use of an external radio. Audio transmit is activated by either a voice activated switch (VOX) for hands free operations (in noise) or by push-to-talk (PTT).
MISSION AUDIO PROFILES (MAP)
MAPs provide advanced settings for ambient listening (besides the classic volume adjustment system). This allows you to adapt & optimize the environmental listening function to different scenarios.
IMPROVED AUDITORY SITUATIONAL AWARENESS (ASA)
An upgraded environmental microphone and a more robust windscreen create a more improved Auditory Situational Awareness (ASA) and reduced wind noise. Sounds and their localization feel more natural than ever before.
WIRELESS
ComTac VII is the very first wireless headset that offers clear and reliable communication. Meaning no cable(s) between the headset & push-to-talk (PTT) which allow for unrestricted head movement, reduced cable management, and snag-free operations.
AMBIDEXTROUS
A redesigned, higher-placed microphone attachment accommodates for both left-and right-handed shooters. This without the need to relocate the microphone to the opposite side. Microphone can still be detached if required.
DUAL HEARING PROTECTION
ComTac VII allows to be used in combination with 3M™ PELTOR™ TEP-300 earplugs (or passive earplugs). Together they work with magnetic induction (NFMI) & offer clear in-ear communication while providing a higher SNR for better protection. This without loss of situational awareness.
REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (RCU)
The RCU-300 (separately available with the SCU-300) provides a new way to communicate & adjust your comm system without the need to take your hands off your rifle.
